Nearly everyone who has seen this astounding trick has been absolutely shocked when the deck vanishes!

The effect is straightforward a spectator is asked to think of any card in the pack. Once he has done this, the deck is set on the table and partly covered with the magician¹s hand. The Joker from the deck is used to tap the deck in an attempt to cause the spectator¹s thought card to vanish. Surprise of surprises! When the performer¹s hand is lifted, the entire deck has vanished!! It is found back inside its card case!

If you like, when you reproduce the Deck you may use an Invisible Deck or Brainwave Deck (see elsewhere on this website for these special tricked decks) as you already know the spectator's card and now can reveal it in a magical way and thus extend this Vanishing Deck Routine into an even better Miracle!!

PRO TIP: If you use an Invisible Deck(found else where on this website) in the box with the PH Vanishing Deck gimmicked added, you can ask the spectator to merely to Think of a card. You cause the deck to Vanish and upon showing the deck is back in the box, you can show that you've caused their Thought of Card to reverse itself in the box. Note: You could also use a Brainwave Deck instead of Invisible Deck)

Another option if you'd like to carry the routine out a little longer, is to then place the deck back in the box, (regardless if you've perform the invisible deck add-on or not) casually switch decks for a PH Solid Deception and say to the spectator would you like to see another trick. Take the deck out again(of course, you've switched) have them sign a card (even better if you have a duplicate of their card earlier named) and now proceed with the routine as described with instructions supplied with PH Solid Deception.
